He is currently also the publisher at the Academic Press at World University and School. MacLeod was born in 1960 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at a time when his parents were living in Lexington, MA. His parents met and married in the Unitarian church of Cincinnati, Ohio. (His father was a MD, who also taught medical grand rounds as a quick knowledgeable diagnostician, and a professor of public health, and his mother became the director of social work in a large urban hospital, returning to university after her 2 children had grown up a bit).
