(Around 125 worker cooperatives have been affected by the magnitude 5.1 earthquake, which occurred Wednesday 11th May with the epicenter in the town of Lorca (Spain). According to the president of the Worker Cooperatives Union of Murcia (Ucomur), Juan Antonio Pedreño, who is also President of COCETA (Spanish Confederation of Worker Cooperatives), there is no knowledge of people injured within the cooperatives so far, although they have reported serious damage to buildings).
