WUaS Idea- and Academic Resources[edit]

The opportunity to engage the conference method (, perhaps with MIT OCW or Reed College, faculty or students, and live, in every subject, perhaps by hopping into a virtual world will be invaluable. More than the study group idea, it emerges from ancient Greece, as philosophical discourse, for generating new knowledge, and pursuing knowledge in depth. World University and School's SUBJECT TEMPLATE - - for every subject ( makes this possible, and one can come into conversation with the core MIT OCW courses themselves, by sharing references, or teaching to your web camera, or generating a live conversation.

I met a Reed College chemistry major from the early 1960s who said that, after the first year, Reed chemistry classes were all about conferencing.

The 'conference method of teaching and learning' is about 'conferencing,' about sharing ideas around a table (now metaphorically in the digital age and in the context of a great universities- and all languages-centric online world university and school). Doing this among high achieving students can make this process very interesting and exciting.

In building on MIT OCW's 2100 + free, online courses, - for free, online bachelor, Ph.D., law and M.D. degrees, - there's so much opportunity for all of us, in editing wiki WUaS, as a expression of the Conference Method, to add FUN ways to engaging serious knowledge generation ... ... and in ALL languages and countries, with time ... and in the Music School, too.

WUaS-hired graduate student instructors (learning to become professors) facilitating the Conference Method - - building on Reed College's 'conference method' approach ...
